Condition: ascents and descents up to 1,300 meters in altitude. Walking time between 6 and 8 hours, depending on the weather, the condition of the path and the condition of the group.

Technique: via ferratas of category B, C, D and higher. The stepping aids are often far apart. Often only the wire rope is available as a climbing aid, vertical and overhanging passages can be easily overcome with a good level of training and stamina. Climbing experience is an advantage. Experience in via ferrata, a head for heights and sure-footedness are required.

Procedure: We meet at 8:30 a.m. at the valley station of the Gimpelhaus cable car. Ascent with a wonderful view of Lake Haldensee to the start of the via ferrata (walking time approx. 2.5 hours, 750 meters in altitude). Then it's about 3 hours to the summit of the Köllenspitze. Alpine descent via the north side to the Gimplhaus. After a short stop we go back to the starting point.
